GMC Sierra 1500 Lift Kits: Match Denali, AT4 and Suspension Type
The Sierra 1500 shares many lift systems with the Silverado, but Denali Adaptive Ride Control and AT4/AT4X factory suspension packages can move the truck into a different application.
Sierra shares GM hardware, but the trim names change the decision
Many current systems cover both the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500, so the underlying suspension architecture can be shared. The confusing part is the GMC trim path: Denali can bring Adaptive Ride Control, while AT4 and AT4X introduce factory suspension differences that standard systems may exclude. A shared GM product page does not mean every Sierra trim uses the same configuration.
BDS’s standard 2019–2024 4-inch GM 1500 gas system explicitly excludes ARC, while BDS also publishes separate Adaptive Ride Control systems for GMC Denali. ReadyLIFT’s 4-inch SST takes a different approach: it works with or without ARC but excludes AT4 and AT4X. BDS also publishes an AT4X-specific Multimatic system rather than treating AT4X as a standard Sierra. Those are Sierra-specific checks even when the physical kit family is sold for both GMC and Chevrolet.

Denali with Adaptive Ride Control must stay separate from standard suspension
Adaptive Ride Control is not a small trim badge. BDS publishes dedicated 4-inch systems for Silverado High Country or GMC Denali trucks equipped with ARC, separate from its standard non-ARC GM 1500 systems. For 2025–2026, BDS also currently publishes ARC-only High Country/Denali applications. ReadyLIFT 69-39400 takes a different approach for 2019–2024 and explicitly supports trucks with or without ARC. If the Sierra has ARC, use only a system whose current manufacturer documentation explicitly supports ARC.
AT4 and AT4X need their own factory-height check
ReadyLIFT’s current 4-inch SST excludes AT4 and AT4X. BDS BDS1835H is a dedicated 2022–2026 ZR2/AT4X system for trucks with Multimatic shocks, with its own wheel/backspacing and modification requirements. If the truck is AT4 or AT4X, do not use a standard Sierra table as proof of fit or final lift height.
Wheel and tire recommendations still come from the selected system
BDS’s standard 4-inch GM 1500 system publishes 33×12.50 and 35×12.50 combinations with specific 17×9 or 20×9 wheel backspacing and states that trimming may be required. ReadyLIFT publishes different tire-size limits by model year and wheel offset. The shared GM platform does not make those recommendations universal across every kit.
That is why the Sierra page keeps tire guidance attached to the actual lift system instead of creating one generic “what tires fit” chart.
What to identify on the Sierra before ordering
Start with year, drive type and engine, then identify the GMC-specific trim and suspension details. Denali and Denali Ultimate trucks may require an ARC-aware application, while AT4 and AT4X belong to factory-suspension paths that many standard kits exclude. Rear-leaf and U-bolt details can also change required hardware on shared GM 1500 systems.
Next, record the intended wheel diameter, width and offset or backspacing and check the selected kit's published tire guidance. Do not assume that a tire combination documented for one shared Silverado/Sierra system transfers to another. Super Cruise and other manufacturer-listed exclusions should also be checked against the exact product page before purchase.

Can I use a Silverado 1500 lift kit on a Sierra 1500?
Some current systems are sold as shared Chevy/GMC 1500 applications, but trim, engine, Adaptive Ride Control, factory lift and rear-spring conditions still have to match. Do not assume every Silverado-labeled kit fits every Sierra.
Does a Sierra Denali with Adaptive Ride Control need a different kit?

Will a standard Sierra 1500 lift kit fit an AT4 or AT4X?
